PSC School traces its origin to the visionary efforts of the business community of Virudhunagar, who believed education to be the foundation of social progress. With this noble objective, the Uravinmurai organization was formed, leading to the establishment of the Kshatriya Girls’ Schools’ Managing Board in 1910, dedicated to the upliftment of girls through education.

The institution grew steadily through the generous support and the tireless service of eminent philanthropists Thiruvalavai Nadar and Thiru P.S. Chidambara Nadar. Recognising the growing importance of English Medium School for girls on 23 June 1975, named P.S. Chidambara Nadar Central School, in honour of Thiru. P.S.Chidambara Nadar, with the motto ‘Loving Service’.
The founder Secretary was Thiru O.T.S.V. Dharmar Nadar. Beginning with 29 students in UKG, the school progressed steadily- upgraded to a Middle School in 1981,
Affiliated to CBSE in 1984, and renamed P.S.Chidambara Nadar School. The school achieved commendable academic results in AISSE, prompting the introducing of higher secondary classes.
In 1990, it become P.S.Chidambara Nadar Senior English School, with consistent centum results and academic excellence.
In 1999, the institution proudly celebrated its Silver Jubilee, marking 25 glorious years of dedicated services in the field of education.
The year 2024, stands etched in golden letter in the annals of the institution, as the school commemorates its Golden Jubilee, celebrating 50 years of excellence in education. Over the decades, PSC School has empowered thousands of students to dream boldly and achieve confidently, producing distinguished doctors, engineers and professionals who have left an indelible mark in their respective fields.
As the institution looks back with gratitude and forward with confidence, it pays heartfelt tribute to its visionary Founders, illustrious Managing Board Members, dedicated teachers and committed staff whose tireless efforts have shaped its enduring legacy.
